I have seen this in action and it works. Great way to reuse an old hard drive without resorting to master/slave, jumpers and all of the hoopla of getting it in a pc.

My dream come true! I have a bunch of SATA drives hanging around- one that needs to be sucked dry since the motherboard died in shipping. A fabulous way to put outdated (post 2003) drives to use.

Having a couple of these would allow me to easily switch and share data with others for a much lower price than buying multiple TB external hard drives.
