How funky can you get? If it's practical it'd add a surreal touch to your living space. (Do the fish like it? I might just use plants.)

This is so sweet. It has two openings (the soap dishes are in fact the openings to the tank!) for maintenance and it looks amazing. This would probably knock my socks off if I saw it at a party.

How awful for those poor fish! Soap is common in bathrooms, toxic to fish! Powerheads don't provide filtration, only circulation, so no way to keep it reasonably clean enough to be safe for fish. Fish don't need the light for health purposes. Most fish tanks grow algae to a heavy enough degree to need scraping manually... how would you scrape that? Anyone who knows anything about keeping a fish tank healthy would know that this is impractical and dangerous for keeping any kind of fish.
This ad doesn't warn you that goldfish grow to be 8 - 14 inches long... where would that fish go in something like this?
I say shame on the people who created this and marketed it as an acutal product. It is nothing more than an abuse chamber for innocent animals!

I think I have to agree with bettababy on this one. Even if you could prevent chemicals from getting in this, how is one supposed to keep it clean? How do you scrape algea? I've worked with two marine biologists for about 16 years. This IS NOT practical nor is good for fish. This idea was poorly researched and it will inevitably take advantage of people who are first time fish keepers who don't know any better. Shame on everyone who made this monstrosity possible. This shows nothing but greed.
