This simple thing is amazing! It doesn't look like much - but the darn thing works. This Tiger Tail is also amazing at working out those little tiny knots that cause soooooo much pain (my physical therapist calls them trigger points). No matter where those knots are (neck, back, quads, gluts, hamstrings, calves, feet, arms - wherever), I can reach them with Tiger Tail. I often get those knots at the base of my neck and they cause lots of headaches. With this, I've been able to reduce the frequency of my headaches - and the intensity of them!
Also - If you like foam rollers...you'll love this. I can take it AND use it anywhere -- even at work. I can apply as much pressure as I want (and can take) - while the foam rollers often hurt way too much. It simply rolls over your muscles. The center spindle "spins" so it won't get caught on your clothes. Sometimes those foam rollers are really awkward too - but with the Tiger Tail - it's very discreet. It works great on all the muscles - and people at work love it when I give them a shoulder massage during a break! Holy cow - I wish I had this when I was playing soccer back in college!
