When I played baseball in college we used the old wrist roller gadget. The wrist roller is basically a stick with a rope hanging from it, and a caribiner attached to the rope. Other than splinters, the big problem with the wrist roller is that the rope doesn't roll up evenly. So you end up with more rope on one side, creating muscle imbalance. The Wrist Ripper eliminates that, and many other, problems.
Improved forearm and grip strength isn't just important for athletes. Stronger hands, wrists, and forearms can make many of your activities of daily living easier to perform. It can also help to prevent injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome.
