Heaven with a fiery finish. Who knew that cinnamon, ancho chili and chocolate were made for each other????
the website says:
Red Fire Exotic Candy Bar
Mexican ancho and chipotle chili peppers + Ceylon cinnamon + dark chocolate
Best Seller
Originally, cocoa beans were crushed and used with vanilla, cornmeal and chillies in a frothed drink. When Spanish conquistadors brought the seeds back to Spain, new recipes were created by removing the spices and adding sugar, and mainstream chocolate consumption was born. Vosges takes chocolate back to its roots with the Red Fire bar, blending dark chocolate with ancho and chipotle chili peppers and Ceylon cinnamon.

As much as I love Vosges' "Mo's Bacon Bar" (and I really do), when I tasted the "Red Fire Bar" I think I experienced chocolate perfection.
The combination of the cinnamon, ancho & chipotle chillies, and dark chocolate was - as good chocolate should be - a sensory experience. The savory aroma of the cinnamon hit my nose first... mmmmmm. Then that, along with the smooth texture and just-sweet-enough chocolate flavor hit my palate. Sooooooooooooo delicious. Finally, as the chocolate melts, the heat of the chilies is released. The finish is a heat that is not overpowering. It's just enough spice to compliment the cinnamon and dark chocolate. What a combination!
OK... now I need to go to Whole Foods and buy another "Red Fire Bar". =P~ (via Vosges Haute Chocolat)

This bar is not as good as the Naga bar, but it is still extremely tasty. I am not even a huge fan of spicy food, but the heat slowly builds as you eat more and more of the bar. The mix off flavors is excellent. (via Vosges Haute Chocolate)
