I leased a Rabbit in the summer of 2006 (as a 2007 model) - and I love my little bunny!!! It's so fun to drive, it has good torque (I'm a girl, and I used the word "torque" in a sentence - how about that!) and great acceleration!
For those of you out there who would not get near a VW due to reliability issues recorded in the past - I say: Your loss! Sure I was a bit worried I was going to have to make frequent trips to the dealership for various little problems, but none of that so far (going on 2 years). Mind you, that's why I leased the car - I'm not completely senseless! ;) But at the moment, I can probably say that my next car will be another VW. No other car in the Rabbit's price range gives you such a fun driving experience. And nothing negative can be said about the interior - simple, classy and durable. Finally, the 10 speakers sound system is incredible! That's a big plus for me – since I like my music loud, with lots of bass! :) Overall a great little car with a "spunky" personality!
