They are my favorite because it’s better than getting around on a car, it saves gas. I love anything handmade as long as it’s from a passionate, artisanal-minded individual.

You can’t go wrong with the classic vintage models, but if you aren’t really a grease monkey, the new ones are cool too!

I love that it saves gas and gets you where you want to go without leaving a heavy footprint. Also, it is a ride for two, so you can always go for a picnic in the park. The Moped is always a lot of fun!

TN Vespa

When I lived in Denmark in the 1960s I rode one of these to the city every day. I was newly married to a Danish sea captain (master mariner), was not working, and loved exploring this fascinating city.

This little Vespa made as much noise as an old lawnmower, so you knew it was coming!

I had a basket on the back seat, and would fill it with fresh bread, and dinner for that night for the two of us when my husband was between voyages..

It was an excellent mode of transport, never let me down, easy to service, and was such fun to ride.

I hope it survives somewhere in Copenhagen!
