While everyone is talking about how cool the video on this is, I actually use mine more for music and pictures. The slideshow app is awesome on a giant HD screen, and the iTunes music interface is great once you hook this up to your stereo. I'm not a huge downloader of iTunes shows (I use iTunes more as a back-up for my DVR if that somehow misses something) but I do use iSquint to transcode other video I have (home movies, lectures, etc.) into m4v format and love watching them on TV via the Apple TV.

Ability to watch downloads from itunes on your tv without cables and all the stuff I can't figure out to use... That's one step closer to heaven. (via PopGadget.com)

With Apple TV, you can enjoy movies, TV shows, music, and podcasts in your iTunes library, plus photos and movie trailers, on your widescreen TV — wirelessly, from your Mac or PC.

The future of television viewing is here and of course, Apple has made it a reality. Basically here is how it works: Say you’ve just downloaded Cars from iTunes. Instead of huddling around your computer to watch, you pop some popcorn while your computer wirelessly syncs your new flick to Apple TV. Then you pull up a seat, put up your feet, and pick up the included Apple Remote to play your movie on TV. Essentially, if it is on iTunes, you can watch what you want, when you want.

Love the idea of all your entertainment flowing from one, clean wireless central command. Hate the idea that I'll probably watch more TV - becuase it will be easier and fun, but somehow I think I'll get over it. (via Alyson)
