I don't know why ugobe decided that the best form a robot could take should be a baby dinosaur, but that's what they did. Of course, kids find robots cool, and kids find dinosaur cool, therefore Robot + Dinosaur = Brilliant!!!

Ugobe introduced Pleo its first Designer Life Form robotic pet at the 2006 Demo Conference. Taking a similar position to Wowwee and the Robosapien line, Ugobe decided to attack the robotic pet problem by targeting the $200 pricepoint, dropping a lot of the higher robotic functions like vision or being able to find a charging station and recharge. Instead they have designed a Super-Furby (co-founder and lead designer Caleb Chung was one of the Furby creators) favoring the user experience and creating a robotic pet that you can interact with on an emotional level, but with roughly the intelligence of a goldfish. This looks like it will be a must-have for little boys everwhere. A robotic dinosaur w/personality. I would have LOVED this when I was a kid. I am getting one for my son.

Adorable and Smart! This baby dinosaur is from the creator of Furby. It has built in sensors, to tell if you are petting it, speaking to it and even to figure out where it is (life if it is about to fall off a table). A great toy, it continues to learn and gas long as you play with it. When you recieve it, it acts just like a baby dinosaur. This is seriously one of the best kids toys and is even great for the young at heart.

Is it a toy or an interactive electronic pet? It could easily be considered either.

I love dinosaurs. This robot dino emulates the behavior of a baby dino! That my friend, is freakin sweet.

It has taken years and years to perfect this perfect little robotic dinosaur...I want one...so cute,, the perfect pet,,,, turn it on and play, turn it off and leave!
