Here's an instance of something that though obviously is made for children, I (at 30+ years) covet. I own two of these dolls (Sandwich & Clementine) and can speak for the fact that they are lusciously soft, washable, and like a magnet for babies. I've given several of these at baby showers and it seems to turn into an instant favorite toy in all cases -- probably much to do with the colors & tactile quality.

Major plus is that with the variety of characters available, you can basically 'match' a doll to the recipient! Match the colors to a baby's room decor, or match a child's obsession with puppies. Many unisex options offer a great shower gift idea for when the parents don't know the gender of their impending little one!

Take a look through these and just try to not buy one for yourself... I dare you...
