U2's latest release is filled with arena rock riffs and uber-catchy rock songs, proving that they still have what it takes, even though there were still a few uneven moments. "Vertigo" was the main hit, and there's no way you escaped it. "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own", "City of Blinding Lights" and "All Because of You" are all really solid songs, but the album falters a little with "Miracle Drug" and "A Man and a Woman" (the former getting some redemption with a good live performance). Overall though, for a band that can claim over 25 years together, they're still making good, relevant music.
