You don't want to wear a lot of makup on your face in the summer and MAC's new Mineralize collection is the perfect answer. I haven't been a huge fan of mineral powder makeup, as I feel it can look drying. Also, since the mineral pigments are opaque, and are often over-applied I see a lot of women with the dreaded "white-mask" affect- which I'm sure isn't what they were going for. Well, MAC's Mineralize collection doesn't seem to have this problem. The powders have a beautiful illumination to them and come in a gorgeous range of warm shades. The powders are baked, making the finish extra smooth and refined. It's a great way to even out your complexion without needing a ton of product, and since it's a baked powder, you can toss it into your beach tote, and not worry about spilling loose powder everywhere. I bought this powder last week and it is AWESOME. I cut my getting ready time down by at least 4 minutes. I no longer need to add the whole primer/ foundation step. Now I just add some concealer and a dusting of this powder and I am good to go.

I love mineral powder but dislike how the one I use is not portable. Fortunately there's this one that comes in a nifty compact. M.A.C.'s powder goes on light and still effectively covers imperfections.

Light and smooth. Doesn't feel like I'm wearing make up. Has a nice dewy finish and looks completely natural but has the "glow"
