It's quite odd to have an album rereleased only 10 or so months after it originally came out, but hey - let's go with it. Not my most adored Cat Power record (that would be "You Are Free"), but there are so many beautiful songs here that I have to include it in top favorites of the year. Chan's voice always makes me knees go weak, especially on the title track, the very lovely "Willie," and the wonderfully high-drama "Love & Communication." Plus, Cat Power + strings just makes so much sense to me.

I'll admit, when i saw her live she looked more like a drunken sorority girl singing karaoke then a finely tuned musician belting out beautiful songs. However, this album never fails me. It's completely entertaining and beautiful.

An apt title for this album. Personally, I think it is one of the greatest Cat Power albums ever. Her smoky-sweet voice is at its best, and the songs are really well written.
