Macs don't get bothered with spyware, but Windows running on Macs do.
XP Antivirus 2008 is scareware that'll try to trick you into blowing dough on it. This page will show you how to get rid of XP Antivirus 2008.
So I'm biased -- I wrote this guide on how to remove XP Antivirus 2008.

thank you so much for the info on removing that annoying antivirus 2008 i tried everything to remove there software i even had to go to the bank to get my money back and change my information but still had the software on my computer until i ran across your site and was able to manually remove them from my computer thanks so much your info has been a blessing have been trying to remove for 10 days now removed within 10 minutes of reading your information again thanks and god bless you
