This is one of the albums I can't stop listening to. No, they're not some weird experimental progressive band, but I still have trouble tying to box them into a particular genre. So, I wont. I'll just say this, I really like 'em and it's a good album. A great album, really.

Fleet Foxes self titled record kind of drove that moutainesque - folk genre of music into the ground. Played start to finish, the mood of this compilation is very relaxed and upbeat, for the most part. It's obvious that these guys can do things with instruments that you haven't heard in the past twenty plus years, and a lot of the harmonizing that they're very good at will definitely make this an unforgettable addition to your record collection.

I just love this album, especially "White Winter Hymnal". We live in a little country town, so I've found amazonmp3 to be highly addictive. Instant music without the 30 mile drive to a music store.

Who put the fleet in Fleet Foxes?

It doesn't matter. Good, no-nonsense music from a band currently receiving a lot of ink. And for good reason.
