Dad may or may not have mastered iPod technology yet - but he undoubtedly appreciates terrific sound quality.

Bose is the master at producing great sound in a small package, and the SoundDock is the finest iPod player I've found.

Ok, Bose really got it right on this one. The sound fills a room, an apartment, a pool deck - wherever you need it, this little baby delivers! I have tried other ipod sounddocks and nothing compares to the Bose. The sound is crisp and clear, the bass resounds, and music sounds full of dimension. Even poor quality downloads sound good on this.

Technically this model is not portable, but I have treated it as such and had great results. I have had mine for 2 and a half years. It's been moved to different homes, different rooms, been exposed to water, heat and even taken on an international flight!

The lip that the ipod sits in has gotten a little loose over the years of heavy use, but as long as i rest it on an even and hard surface everything goes well.

This is one of the best things i have ever bought! The quality and durability are unsurpassed in my opinion. If you are considering another, cheaper sounddock, spend the extra $50-$100 to get this one. You won't be let down!
