This bike is easy to ride and very sturdy, but when you need to lock it up it folds up into a theft-proof jumble of wheel and chain.

Designed for Boston but suitable for anywhere really. Danged bike thieves!

The thing I dig about this street bike is the way the frame looks and is sturdy (which would be a total slam if I were describing a woman) but collapses down fairly quickly into a self-locking, thief-confusing jumble of wheel, wire and rubber. It's from Denmark, so there aren't a ton around. Plus, it's a total conversation starter on city streets. Not that you should be talking to strangers. (via My mister, a total bike geek)
