I remember owning this book as a kid, so I was excited to see it in a store recently. I quickly read through the pages and immediately bought a copy. Now I use it to cheer up and get a quick laugh whenever I'm having a bad day. It's not just for kids!

Beautifully illustrated book lets kids feel compassion for and amusement at another kid's angst. My son loves this book. He laughs when Alexander has to wear his fireman pajamas, "...and I hate my fireman pajamas!" as well as kissing, lunches without desserts, plain white sneakers and his older brothers. Great to read to your angst-ridden 6 year old boy.

"Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" is a book to help kids understand that they can have bad days and still be good people. They can have bad days and their parents still love them. Yeah, they may even learn a little empathy.
