bla, bla, bla, apple takes the best part of the first iphone and makes it available to the masses. woo hoo. It would be nice if it the "iPod touch" could come with music creation software so one could make music instead of listing to the music made by others.

Of my many obsessions....shoes, vespas, tiny laptops that fit in my purse...the Ipod touch is the newest. Oddly enough I could care less about the Iphone (though I do admittedly harbor some consumerist lust for the Prada phone) but I seriously want a Ipod Touch and on another note my old Ipod decided to commit suicide today, coincidence - I think not.

This product is a great idea from Apple. While the rest of the world's mobile carriers are busy squabbling with Apple about how to get the iPhone, they've gone ahead and released the next best (and possibly even better) thing. The iPod touch is, save for a few applications, the iPhone sans the phone. WiFi ended up being the selling feature for me, as well as the nice, 3.5" widescreen multi-touch display. This is a great upgrade for any iPod owner, but you'll have to do some playlist management to get all your media into the rather paltry 8GB or 16GB capacities.

Can't wait for the iPod touch! The iPhone is really cool but it's a bit too expensive for me, i like the touch thing. BUT NOW, the iPod touch has the same multi-touch function and it looks as cool as the iPhone and it's even slimmer! The new iPod nano doesn't look as good as the previous one though...

Much more than a music player, the iPod Touch is a wifi browser and a multimedia experience like Apple only knows how to do. Direct connection to YouTube is a great feature. While Apple does not release its SDK (Software Development Kit), you may be interested in "freeing" your Touch and installing some beta apps... I confess I did it and I love my Touch even more now. It´s always with me. And it's no plastic toy, it's a strong piece of equipment. Add a silicon skin and it's even more resistant. Only avoid water... ;-) Keep it in the "air".

I love my iPods, always have. I've been waiting to get an iPod touch because the hard drives are significantly smaller than the ones on the "classic" iPods. Seriously, you do not want to see me without my music, it's not a pretty sight. So I did resign myself to keeping the old iPod for the car (because nothing makes a playlist old fast than commuting to it), and the iPod touch in my purse. It's so great. The interface is slick and fun. It's really easy to figure out how it works too. I love having my email at my fingertips, as well as Facebook, Twitter and loads of other sites. It's so convenient and addicting! It's one of those things that, once you have it, you wondered how you lived without it.

until the iphone supports multimedia messaging and, oh i dunno, CUT & PASTE?? i'm sticking with the touch. i've been pretty good about resisting the newest gadgets, but when i saw the touch in person, i just had to have it. wi-fi, now there are apps you can download. this really saved my sanity during my evacuation from many hurricanes. plus, this leaves me to have a seperate cool celly. my other obsession.

My son got this for Christmas. It was a big hit. He has it with him all the time. I didn't get to see him much before, he was always on the computer making sure his dream is OK. okay so, seriously..... I knew I would love this. but didn't realize I would LOOOOOOVE this little piece of golden goodness. I was able to pick it up at costco at a decent price.... not to mention when I accidentally dropped it in the loo, and it no longer worked. Costco took it back to problem.

Love my Ipod touch, would love it even more if it worked like it should. You would expect a product that was pretty expensive to work like it should. The second day i had my touch the apps stopped working. You tap the app, it comes up for a second or two then goes back to the home screen. I googled this problem and it seems like a lot of people have had this problem. Ive tried restarting the ipod and deleting the app and reinstalling it. If the apple techs cant help me over the phone im going to have to take it to the nearest apple store...........which is 2 hours away. Its great if all you wanna do is use it to listen to music.
