I'm no good with liquid liner and pencils just don't quite get that heavy, deeply pigmented line that I love. The Stila Smudge Pot in black is THE liner. It literally stays on all day. Also excellent for creating the smoky eye look.

This eyeliner lasts forever- it only comes off with soap or makeup remover. It's the best! Use an eyeliner brush to apply and you are set for the day. Just don't mess up because it's hard to fix!

I barely remember to wear makeup any day of the week. But, with coming nuptials, I have been advised to learn how to apply eyeliner. This might be my favorite: an inky gel that is easy to apply with an angled brush. I've tried the bronze... We'll see if I am brave enough to branch into black.

Love this stuff! It blends well so you can totally do a smoky-eye look, or use a fine brush and do super sharp eyeliner. It also functions as eyeshadow! So amazing. (via Sephora)

Smudge pots are super versatile so they'll work for whatever look you're trying to pull off on Halloween night. Apply with a thin liner brush for a winged Elvira look. Or, use a sturdy, blunt shadow brush to smudge on something hell sent.
