The full moon, Brooklyn Heights and La Boheme all take a back seat to the romantic dramedy that unfolds within this movie. As Cher's character, a frustratingly practical and sardonic accountant, slowly unravels to reveal a heart full of love, passion and beauty, the movie begins to soar right along with her. The pivotal scene, set in a family kitchen at breakfast, is my favorite . . . and one that will feel familiar to anyone who has ever had to juggle the demands of love and family.
