Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? A few months ago, I got bored with making my dog (8 years old) sit for treats.... so I taught her to lay down, instead.
Then, at my nephew's 1st birthday party last weekend, someone brought over a frisbee. Within 6 hours, I had Peaches chasing it down, catching it out of mid-air, and most amazingly, releasing the damn thing after she'd brought it back to me.
Throwing a frisbee to a dog -- it may seem cliche, but once your best friend has mastered it, it's a lot, lot, lot of fun.
