An attempt to consider the AK47 on a purely aesthetic level, this paper death machine (part of a series actually called "Death Machines," by London-based design firm PostlerFerguson) is built to scale. Rendered in white, the piece is perfectly customizable and ships flat in five sheets of paper with instructions.

It is a truly iconic piece of equipment - however you feel about guns and gun laws you can't deny that the AK-47 is a symbol for so much more then the average gun. Great concept.

A kit to make your own "AK-47" -- the creator is right; there is something beautiful about the form of any rifle.

Sure, it might only be made of paper -- but a wonderful way to intimately get to know the lines and froms of the AK-47.

I wonder if there are plans to make an M-14....
