Based in Como, Cornelio Cappellini recreates pieces popular in Italy, France and England during the 1700s, and features Louis the XV and XVI, Empire and Neoclassical styles. What’s more, the 50 artisans who staff the workshop today use the same trusted handcarving, assembly and finishing techniques and products--including the identical shellac recipe--that the founders used in the 1850s.
