Swimming pool cover, a useful investment? As with a house, insulating a swimming pool is not a must, but it is pure profit. After all, energy, the heat that is already present in the pool must be conserved. So this is a first important and frequently decisive reason to choose a cover. However, there are several good arguments in favour of choosing a cover. Consider the extra safety for humans and animals around your swimming pool. The cover will also protect the pool from leaves and dirt falling in. The costs of disinfecting the swimming pool water will also decrease. After all, not only does water evaporate, thereby losing the heat of evaporation, but a cover holds chlorine and/or other chemicals in the swimming pool water for longer. A HydroDeck slatted cover consists of separate PVC or polycarbonate slats that are hooked together to form a large and robust unit. A slat consists of various airtight chambers that are sealed with an end cap. HydroDeck covers are always custom-made. Not only the slats but also the fitting is geared completely to the swimming pool and the technical possibilities. HydroDeck slats are available in various colours, which allow them to be selected in terms of their suitability for the surroundings of the swimming pool. Besides coloured slats, the solar slats have also been a great success. Solar slats collect heat from the sun - the top layer is transparent and allows heat to penetrate through to the bottom layer which is black and becomes warm. This heat is then transferred to the water. The application of solar slats makes the additional heating of the swimming pool unnecessary in many cases and extends the swimming season.
