The average person is said to use 167 plastic bags a year. This bag is designed by, top designer Anya Hindmarch and was made as a part of the 'We are what we do' non-profit British campaign group. It is meant to replace the many plastic bags we use every day. It can be used as a purse, to carry groceries, purchases at the mall, your lunch. Basically anything that you would have otherwised used a plastic bag for.
These bags will be selling for approximately $15 US but will not be available in the US until June. (via nitro:licious)

I'm not a plastic bag. Pretty awesome. What a great way to let everyone know that you're thinking eco and they should be too. How many plastic bags do you have to waste before this starts making all kinds of sense.

Haha - so much better now. This will be a classic piece in 20 years when we all remember how wasteful we once were...I hope. Much like the Hillary Clinton for President button I have is a now a relic!
