Designed to be as natural identical to your own body as possible, there's no awful smell or neon color to distract your senses. It's made from entirely organic & natural ingredients using plant based glycerine - not petrochemicals. If you know anything about the internal workings of your body you'll know that we're one big absorbent membrane, and I for one am horrified at the idea of smearing my insides with toxic chemicals! This stuff is PHENOMENAL (and reasonably priced). The water-based gives you a light, sensual glide and the oil-based a deep velvety glide. More than that, I never thought I'd switch from silicone, but the $8 price tag for this lube is cause enough for orgasm
