An entire book written from the point of view of a dog? Come on, how good could it possibly be?

Besides, you know, the second-best book you've ever read.

The first, of course, being You Are a Dog.

Bless you.

JB_Dalton's recommendation

My librarian friend recommended this book to me and I'm so glad he did. It's a story about a family, written by the dog. At first I thought it would be comedic, like the one story Dave Berry did (from his dog's perspective), but it was serious. It had an engaging story that I wanted to keep picking up to see what happened, great characters and the author did a splendid job of leaving you feeling like the dog wrote the book.

I had a golden lab when I first got married. We ended up having to put her down. I could feel the emotions coming from her that I got from this story. It was convincing and I loved it. Kudos to Garth Stein.
