I just started a TNR (trap, neuter, return) program. It's a proven method to manage feral cat numbers, humanely, avoiding euthanasia and ridding the neighborhood of problem behavior associated with breeding feral cat colonies (yowling, spraying and destroying property).
It cost me $50 bucks and some spare time, and soon I'll have a certificate and be eligible for low cost spay and neuter programs! Not to mention it's a great way to get a community involved and working together for a greater good!
There are all kinds of different programs available, from community leadership to duck egg addling. You choose the cause and they help you get certified to make a difference!!! (via HSU)

Way to go! I help with transport in my area and support the SNR idea wholeheartedly! We have alot of strays in our wooded areas here.

If you guys over on the other side of Atlantic have these programmes, it means we might too. I am going to look into this. Thanks!
