I am a new HUGE fan of this artist named RISSI PALMER. She has an amazing album out that features this single called “Country Girl” that’s already been on the Billboard charts. She totally rocks the single originally done by American Idol's Jordin Sparks.
She was an avid singer as a child singing in the gospel choir at her church……she drew her inspiration from the Patsy Cline records that her mother, (who she lost at the tender age of 7), listened to day in and day out. Then, after seeing Charley Pride perform at the Grand Ole' Opry, she was convinced that she could very well accomplish anything, including becoming the first Female African-American Country star that she is fast becoming. She has now performed at the Opry 8 times, and most recently with her idol, Charley Pride. (via iTunes)
