What a fabulous idea! In honor of next year's anniversary of the Wizard of Oz, Warner Brothers asked some of the industry's top designers to reinterpret Dorothy's red shoes. They will be auctioned off to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Aids Foundation after touring the country.

"These ruby slippers are no longer in Kansas. The iconic shoes worn by Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz are being revamped by top designers, including Jimmy Choo, Betsey Johnson and Sergio Rossi, in anticipation for next year's 70th anniversary of the film. Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Crystallized Swarovski Elements invited 19 designers to envision what Dorothy would wear in the 21st Century. But you don't need to follow the yellow brick road to get a pair of your own: They'll be auctioned off next fall."
