the tv show that showed every wannabe, solipsistic loser, and fratstar that maybe L.A. is the only place where they will be truly appreciated. i only own the first two seasons because in my personal opinion its gone a little downhill from there... but it has to be hard to maintain a "believable" level of ridiculousness for so long... my personal favorite episodes are the Sherpa in season 1 (starring Val Kilmer in the most amazing cameo of all time as the insane drug sherpa who has weed when everyone else in LA is cleaned out), the Sundance episode in Season 2, and the episode where Vince takes Turtle to get the Fukijamas he wants so badly and says "i just spent 20 grand on sneakers and i don't even have a job." so amazing. the vegas episode (i think its in season 3) is also totally amazing. more than anything, the show made jeremy piven's insane talent undeniable and was a serious turning point in mark wahlberg's career... the show is based on his life story, he produced it... and from here, his career has finally shown how talented and amazing he is, from holding his own if not stealing the show in The Departed, to be nominated for an Oscar, to continuing to produce real quality shows like In Treatment. at the very least, rent Entourage to prepare yourself for how truly ridiculous LA is...

HBO does it again by creating a farcical but gritty series about America's favorite pre-occupation: FAME. It's a cathartic hour for those who live in LA or work in the entertainment industry. Oh. And Piven is pretty good too.

"Entourage" is one of the best programs on television today. (Weeds is the other.) "Entourage" is "Sex & the City" (yes, there is gender crossover for both shows so don't get your... well, you know the expression).

The writing is hilarious. It doesn't matter if you can see a gag coming or not. It's still funny and they usually aren't obvious. All of the actors on "Entrouage" rock but Jeremy Piven makes the show.

If you missed the first 2 seasons of "Entourage" on HBO, buy the DVD (or rent it on Netflix). (via thedelicious)
