These wide-spectrum CFLs use a state-of-the-art proprietary phosphor systme to provide a braod spectrum of light that more closely duplicates natural sunlight. They are energy efficient and last 10,000 hours. Plus, they are low heat.
These light bulbs have advanced far-red emission for promoting plant growth. They also give the same amount of light as the 60-65 watt incandescent bulbs they replace, using only 15 watts. (via e3living.com)
