Birkenstock uses natural and reclaimed materials for their shoes & sandals and these ones are perfectly adorable and simple for summer days.

These are very close to the Birkenstocks that I wear more than I would like to admit. The ones I wear have two straps across, instead of one. I got them in Dubai about three years ago, so who knows what the official style is called. All I know is that my feet get adequate support, don't hurt and I can wear my Japanese nabi socks with them (when wearing pants, of couse). They also hold up very well and still look almost new.
