In this Anne Rice's sprawling vampire series, you can find all your favorite night-stalking, blood-guzzling undead--Lestat, Claudia, Louis, Akasha, Armand, and Memnoch--all in the same place at the same time.

This series include 'Interview with the Vampire', 'The Vampire Lestat', 'The Queen of the Damned' and 'The Tale of the Body Thief' and starts with Louis, Lestat, and Claudia as the main subject and gives glimpses into other characters that will later become more involved in the story. Each book that follows tells the tale of another vampire and specific details about certain time periods and events.

For example....In 'Interview..' We briefly meet armand. The bitter keeper of those at the theater de vampires. Later in the series there is an installment titled 'The Vampire Armand' Where we learn all about Armand's life before and after Marius and his re-birth as a vampire. In another book 'Queen of the Damned' we learn that it is not a good idea for vampire Lestat to rile Akasha, Queen of the Damned, now after 60 centuries of practice being undead. In 'The Tale of the Body Thief', Lestat is approached by a man named Raglan James who proposes Lestat be human again by swapping bodies. Needless to say, the swapping thing goes horribly wrong but you'll just have to read the book to discover how it ends.

I cannot say enough in praise of this series!
