Australian in origin; made of cotton, felt, leather, or straw; slightly rounded or pinched crown; short brim; banded. Some variations have a feather stuck in the band. Recently popularized by Pete Doherty, Jude Law, and Orlando Bloom. Also called a 'trilby'.
