I eat this hot sauce on everything from eggs to steak to pizza. It has better flavor than Tabasco--less vinegary and more robust. Get on the bus, man! Chow with Cholula.

Coming from Southern California, this is one of the very few luxuries that I still have now that I am in New York (NY doesn’t know what Tapatio is!!!). Cholula is one of my favorite toppings for everything from eggs to tamales.

Cholula is a hot sauce you might find in the best Mexican restaurants and places that dont want to give off major gringo vibes with Tabasco (which has its place in your pantry). Cholula is just right. She's no wimp but she's also not going to beat your tastebuds up and steal their lunch money. Lots of flavor and just enough spicy kick to bring boring food to life. Not vinegary like some cheap imitations. This spicy stuff gets its flavor from a blend of pequin peppers, red peppers and spices. Cholula is made in Mexico (not New Mexico) by the same family for three generations. Look for the unusual wooden cap and the beautiful woman on the label. There is another sauce called Tapatio - it has a man with a sombrero on the label. Some people liken the two but I feel Cholula is far superior. On Cholula, one day I shall wed thee.

Cholula is my favorite hot sauce--it's pretty hot, but not like one of those braggadicio sauces named something like "Ass Blaster." It has a delicious spicy taste, perfect for the ALT (avocado, lettuce, and tomato) wraps at the sandwich place across the street.

One of the better Mexican hot sauces. For me it's about a tie between Cholula and Tapatio. In other words, I wouldn't turn either away.

Cholula is perfect with eggs, with a burrito, and added to just about anything else you might want to add some spice to. It has a fairly mild heat coupled with good flavor. I don't like hot sauces that are just hot, hot, hot all the time, I want some good flavor too. It is completely different from Tabasco. I converted a coworker to Cholula right after Easter when he was eating leftover Easter eggs for a week. Cholula on a hard-boiled egg is wonderful. Sometimes, it can be hard to find at the grocery store, but it is definitely worth seeking out.

If you're following the natural progression of hot sauce experiences Cholula will typically enter your life as your second love. You've impressed all of your friends with your amazing tolerance for Tobasco and now you're ready to dive deeper. Cholula is the perfect next step. It's like going from dating a girl who will just hold your hand to one who will kiss you and maybe even let you...sorry, maybe that's taking the metaphor too far. Cholula is the Mexican equivalent of Tobasco - an everyday hot sauce that's spicy but not too hot and goes great with your food. Highly recommended for eggs, burritos, tacos, enchildas, chimichangas and anything else that ends in "as".

Let's put it this way. When I make eggs, the only reason I make them is for the Cholula. When I make nachos, the only reason I make them is for the cholula. When I make avocado sandwiches, the only reason I make them is for the Cholula. You get the picture. Cholula is the most wonderful tasting hot sauce ever. Way better than Tapatio and the rest. When I do prepare food and open the pantry to learn the Cholula is all out, I throw away the food. Not really, but the thought always runs through my mind.

Oh Cholula! Where would breakfast be without you. Cholula sauce has more body than tabasco (thicker sauce) so I use it on my food. Its thicker and a bit smokier. Delicious on eggs, tortas and everything else you like to put hot sauce on.

OK, here is the deal. I love hot sauces and find that certain ones are good with specific foods. This one is good overall, but you have to try rubbing it into BBQ baby back ribs. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hot sauce is the BOMBIII It is without question, the BEST EVER hot sauce made. I put it on everything. My eggs, vegetables, sandwiches, chicken breast, and even on top of my pizza!! Seriously, I have tried them ALL, and I LOVE this stuff. Try mixing it up with Sricha sauce -- that's good too!

The best hot sauce for eggs and mexican foods. As someone else noted - Tabasco sauce still has its place - I can't have a bowl of new england clam chowder or bufallo wings without Tabasco. But I switched to Cholula from Tabasco for breakfest and am not looking back. Also - as other have said - not burrito is complete without it. I sometimes even bring my own along to restaurants that don't serve it...it's that good.
