Cholula is perfect with eggs, with a burrito, and added to just about anything else you might want to add some spice to. It has a fairly mild heat coupled with good flavor. I don't like hot sauces that are just hot, hot, hot all the time, I want some good flavor too. It is completely different from Tabasco.

I converted a coworker to Cholula right after Easter when he was eating leftover Easter eggs for a week. Cholula on a hard-boiled egg is wonderful.

Sometimes, it can be hard to find at the grocery store, but it is definitely worth seeking out. (via my ex-boyfriend)

One of the better Mexican hot sauces. For me it's about a tie between Cholula and Tapatio. In other words, I wouldn't turn either away. (via nrogers)

Cholula is my favorite hot sauce--it's pretty hot, but not like one of those braggadicio sauces named something like "Ass Blaster." It has a delicious spicy taste, perfect for the ALT (avocado, lettuce, and tomato) wraps at the sandwich place across the street. (via loft3)

Cholula is a hot sauce you might find in the best Mexican restaurants and places that dont want to give off major gringo vibes with Tabasco (which has its place in your pantry).

Cholula is just right. She's no wimp but she's also not going to beat your tastebuds up and steal their lunch money. Lots of flavor and just enough spicy kick to bring boring food to life. Not vinegary like some cheap imitations. This spicy stuff gets its flavor from a blend of pequin peppers, red peppers and spices.

Cholula is made in Mexico (not New Mexico) by the same family for three generations. Look for the unusual wooden cap and the beautiful woman on the label.

There is another sauce called Tapatio - it has a man with a sombrero on the label. Some people liken the two but I feel Cholula is far superior.

On Cholula, one day I shall wed thee.

Coming from Southern California, this is one of the very few luxuries that I still have now that I am in New York (NY doesn’t know what Tapatio is!!!). Cholula is one of my favorite toppings for everything from eggs to tamales. (via nrogers)
