  family portrait, this portrait was for my human oddities theme, I had to do 8 paintings in a semester dealing with human oddities,freaks. In this specific one I want a bit overboard on the subject finding old images of skulls. the large man with the scepter was based on a gigantic human skull. the other head was based on head binding practices of the Incas. the one to the lower center I considered to be the offspring of these two and was based on another odd skull, I perhaps made this one more odd that natural adding crazy hair and fangs. now I think of this one almost as a portrait of a royal family perhaps a family that has a history of inbreeding and because of that has created human abnormalities. ether way I tried to show the giant man as vary powerful holding his scepter he was perhaps angry too. the wrapped skull was the wife of the giant looking off to the side. the child was the one to the lower center with demonic fangs. perhaps something was different about this one a glow of evil illuminates from this one.
