Technically titled "Zombi 2" in its native Italy, Fulci created this film as a direct response/sequel to Romero's "Night of the Living Dead." They bear very little resemblance to each other aside from the undead, but Fulci's film remains a hallmark of horror cinema. Featuring the shot every horrorphile knows as the "splinter" scene (not for those who hated Buñuel's eyeball scene in "Un Chien Andalou"), as well as a zombie-shark underwater wrestling match, this is a must see for anyone interested in horror.
