Jean Paul Viollet comes from a family that has been woodworking since the 1830s. He moved from the Rhone Valley of France to the US in the early 1980s and opened his own workshop and showroom. Atelier Viollet is known for its Art Deco-inspired furniture featuring exotic materials, including shagreen, parchment, shell and horn. The firm’s own designs are made to order and can be fully customized. Atelier Viollet also fabricates new pieces in collaboration with interior designers, architects and retail clients.
