You know it's the writing and the acting that are keeping your attention, because there's no action, no set to speak of, no special effects, and not even any color. Made in 1957 and still gripping, insightful, and relevant.

This is one of Hollywood's best. Twelve jurors must decide the fate of a young man accused of murdering his father. All star cast that includes legendary actors Henry Fonda, Jack Klugman, Martin Balsam and Jack Warden. If you are ever called to jury duty you should see this film before doing so. (via Netflix)

Sidney Lumet's directorial debut remains a tense, atmospheric courtroom thriller, in which the viewer never sees a trial and the only action is verbal. A real nail-biter of a film, unbelievable script and excellent actors make the movie a must-see. (via beckyk)

One of my favorite movies. Amazing dialogue, tension and suspense. A classic.
