Jack White + Brendan Benson=good damn time. Anyone who underestimated Brendan Benson's effect on the sound of this group will be emediatly shocked once they make it past the lead single. When it first came out, I was slightly bummed the sound wasn't harder, more White Stripes-ish, but over time I love the pop infusion. The songs are catchy, not overly popy, but a nice balance.

A collaboration between Brendan Benson, Jack White of the White Stripes, and 2 other members produced The Raconteurs. Their first album, Broken Boy Soldiers, is definitely quality. I really despise the White Stripes, but this music reminds me more of the Vines and the Clash...mixed.
