I have been dazzled by the brilliance of the designers on Project Runway, who have been able to seemingly transform nearly anything (even trash !) into glorious and original fashion. Last night's episode was a little different. About half of the designers were confused or completely stumped when presented with the challenge of designing an outfit that would (hypothetically) be worn by the U.S. women athletes to wear as they process in during the Opening Ceremonies. It was hysterical and tragic all at the same time. Thankfully, guest judge, Apolo Anton Ohno, is quite the gentleman and gave kind, thoughtful reviews of each designer's work. I won't tell you who won, but here are some samples of what I saw.
