Another wonderful album by Ms. Neko. "Deep Red Bells," a song from this album, documents Case's reflections on the Green River Killer who claimed the lives of almost fifty women and was in the midst of his killing spree when Case was a teenager living around Seattle, Washington where the murders were taking place. It's a beautiful, albeit haunting, song.
I love Neko Case. Her voice (and her songs) are amazing. I've been listening to this one a lot lately.
