It's the Australian film that blitzed overseas box offices. It caused a near riot at the Cannes Film Festival. It's fun, daring, over-the-top and unforgettable. It's a road movie with attitude and the occasional frock. It stars Terence Stamp as 'Bernadette', 'Hugo Weaving' as 'Anthony 'Tick' Belrose/Mitzi Del Bra' and Guy Pearce as 'Adam Whitely/Felicia Jollygoodfellow'. All are totally fantastically fabulous!!!
This film is one of our favorites - using humor and good natured prodding of controversial issues, the filmmaker is able to break through the barrier of bias, and get to the core of these three magnificent people. An absolute must-see!!

The "Priscilla" in this movie is the pink bus that carries three transsexuals across the wilds of the Australian desert. Encountering bigotry, fashion emergencies and transportation issues along the way, the three eventually have their day in the sun (the stage, that is.) Funny and touching, the characters gently require you to open your mind and enjoy the ride.

This movie exhibits the passion of one's heart to be who he wants to be, even if that means he wants to be a she. Tick has issues with the fact that he might not be an adequate father for his young son, since Tick is a homosexual drag queen. It shows the unconditional love that his son has for him, even through his predicament. (via John_and_Rose)

Great buddy movie - the buddies are all drag queens traveling through the Australian outback.
Guy Pearce plays the most flamboyant of the queens - he later went on to star in two of my all time favorite movies, LA Confidential, and Memento. What a range! (via John_and_Rose)
