For decades predictions of the TV or video phone have been presented as cool edgy technology that's "just around the corner". Well folk, it's here, yeah the Apple Macbook Air is basically that but so much more, it'll spin your head around. It's interesting to note that Macbook Air is positioned to leapfrog the way people use and view laptop computing, reminds me of how in same sort of way that the original launch of the Macintosh provided a new direction which IBM was unable to realize. Think about it that way, because "Air" is equipped with state of the art Wi-Fi, Leopard operating system, on-board camera-mic, and iChat video conferencing, "Air" is actually a not a simple workstation, it's more or less a portable Media Broadcasting Network. It's part of a new communications revolution about to unfold, the first step began with the internet, now tools like "Air" will empower the next wave of media visionaries. I can't imagine the "Air" available in China. p.s. and it's also great for internet dating, and online shopping--Me I'm still waiting for a Mac Tablet PLEASE!

The world's thinnest laptop! It is 0.16" to 0.76" and fits inside of a manila envelope. 13.3" widescreen display. Apple asked Intel to shrink the Core 2 Duo. Intel shrunk the processor by 60%. 1.6 GHz Standard, 1.8 GHz Option -- Intel Core 2 Duo. 80 GB hard disk standard, 64 GB SSD as an option. 2GB memory standard. 5 hours of Battery Life. Environmental highlights: fully aluminum case (good for recycling), first fully mercury and lead free display, circuit boards are BFR free, retail packaging are 56% less volume than MacBook.

The idea itself is a great one: A computer that measures thinner than 1 inch at its thickest and that weighs exactly 3 pounds. The result? The Macbook Air. While I love the initial concept, I can't help but feel that the Air looks computerexic. As a result, the shape of it is awkward. Also -- due in part to its super-skinny design -- the Air is slower than other Mac products (1.6 or 1.8GHz as compared to the 2.4GHz Macbook Pro). Besides shape and sluggishness -- and the justified overpricing because it's new and exciting -- the Macbook Air is a pretty advanced piece of technology. Case in point? The 2GB of onboard memory, the solid-state (flash) drive, and the optional external USB superdrive. Other features include a 13.3" glossy LED, multitouch trackpad, and built-in Bluetooth 2.1 wireless. And as a bonus, you'll look really cool carrying it around.

Holy crap! It's real! The MacBook Air exists! The ultra, ultra-thin laptop is .16 inches (yeah, that's a decimal point) on bottom and .76 inches on top. 13.3-inch screen. Multi-touch trackpad. And yeah, it'll get you all the girls (or guys, depending on which way you swing).

The new macbook air, proud to be the smallest laptop (for the moment) at less than one inch thick and weighing in at a mere 3 pounds. The perfect laptop for traveling and the wireless capabilities are endless. It doesnt have an optical drive (well it does come with a small portable one) but it doesnt need one because it can read drives from nearby computers.

I went to the Apple Store just to take a gander at the Macbook Air when it came out. It's so tiny that it is absolutely ridiculous. I'd be so scared I'm going to snap it in two, but on the other hand, I hate lugging my thick notebook around too. The positive thing about the Macbook Air is that it has the same quality of graphics and function as any Apple product though, you just have to be extremely careful!
