Boy gets stranded on a life boat with a Tiger. Obviously going to be a fabulous story. Skip the first 100 pages, they're really boring.

I was sorta forcing myself to keep on reading this book at first, but I did get drawn into the surreal storyline! And the ending is out of this world! Worth the read!

The best book of all time - if you haven't read it you definately should! Yann Martel raises up the notch of regular fiction writing to something a whole lot more meaningful and thought provoking, in this book especially.

No doubt the plot being something quite unrealistic, but an Indian zookeeper's son lost at sea who manages to survive (in a lifeboat) with a wounded zebra, a hyena, a seasick orangutan and a 450-pounder Bengal tiger, however the survival story surpasses anything you can possibly imagine. This book not only stretches your brain to its maximum, but also sucks you in deeper and deeper while pulling you emotionally and tragically up to a point you might ask youself - What would I have done in that position? Would I have been alive in the conditions that Pi (the main character) was?

Beware and watch out for the killer ending that totally whacks up your brain and the whole plot but ENJOY IT NONETHELESS!! (Yes it's that good that it deserves caps :)
