For California residents: Prop 10 benefits T. Boone Pickens, the oilman who funded the swiftboating of John Kerry. Now he's made himself out to be an environmentalist, but this is just another way of lining his pockets. Fueling trucks with natural gas, the dwindling supplies of which will be needed to heat homes, is ludicrous. He told Congress all American cars should be fueled on natural gas, too. Natural gas - methane - has 24 times the greenhouse effect as carbon dioxide. A little bit escapes every time it's pumped from one place to another. Imagine all those nozzles in car gas tanks releasing 2 to 4 percent of the total consumed! This is a recipe for disaster. Please vote No on Proposition 10.
