We just dropped off an entire trunkfull of plastic grocery bags for recycling. And we usually select paper! I've decided that from now on, we have to bring our own bags if we want groceries. We have a couple of canvas bags, but not enough for an entire grocery shopping. These reusable bags aren't just environmentally-friendly -- they're also the cutest darn things I've ever seen. I can't wait to bring these shopping - and they're small enough that I can always carry one or two, no matter what bag I've got. My husband can even carry them in his cargopockets.

I love these bags simply beacuse I am so tired of all the plastic bags we use. Every little thing goes in these big plastic bags ! UGH! And these bags fold up so so small and carry so much when they are unfurled! I love the little thing that keeps them wrapped tight. I keep one in my bag for any side trips to the drugstore or when shopping for clothes during the day and the rest with my shopping cart because they come in a neat little carrying back that I can hook right onto my cart. I really can't say enough good things about these bags. They make me feel like I am actually doing something to keep the plastic bags out of the trees, landfills and parks. And they are SO PRETTY!

this is an update to my previous post. i have bought stacks of reusable and recyclable shopping bags: however i have now determined that these are the BEST, as they are extremely strong, come in very pleasing, colourful or black & white patterns -- this is the US distributor and they sell these nifty pouches containing five of the bags, a couple for you, some to give as gifts. the best thing is the rolling-them-up and stowing them in your bag, pocket, glove compartment, whatever -- they are light and small and everyone at the grocery store will ask you where you got yours!

I love the whimsical nature of the "Retro Kitchen" Envirosax bags. The bags each have recipes printed on them for things like how to get wine stains out, food recipes, or how to make playdough. They are so fun and colorful and to top it all off they are great for the environment. No need to buy those generic reusable bags from the store. These bags are THE BEST! I use them not only to carry groceries (which they hold more groceries than three regular plastic grocery bags!) but also craft projects, treats for my coworkers, wrapped packages, gym clothes, towels and sunscreen for the pool -- they are great to have around! I have two of the 5 packs and i always keep at least one bag rolled up in my purse and a stash of them in the car for any unexpected shopping! We bought these a couple of months ago. I actually had to wait 2 months to get them because they were on backorder. I love them. They're beautiful and they can easily hold up to 3 2-liter bottles. Not only are we saving on bringing home plastic bags, 14 of which I heard contain enough embodied petroleum energy to drive a car 1 mile, but we're saving at the cash register too. Our grocery store reduces our bill by 3 cents for every reusable bag we use. (Not a mint I know but it feels good.) My biggest problem is remembering to take them to the store, or getting in the car that doesn't have them in the back seat. I need another set just to make sure.

I love this bag and have been using it since I got it. It's so light and I just roll it up and snap it together and throw it in my handbag. Once pulled apart, its really big. I hate plastic bags so this is perfect. Trying to incorporate being environmentally friendly in my life!

I fell in love with these and wished I could afford them after my move to NYC. (I had been re-using regular plastic bags.)
